Shocking Truths or Supportive Solutions?

Description

Our team is striving for a public health campaign to further address and limit substance abuse in the community. The conflict starts when there is some disagreement between members on how to approach the campaign. Michela, representing marketing, wants to use bold, shock-value ads, graphic images and fear-driven messaging, to get people’s attention fast. In retrospect, Ilhan and Ethan feel that approach may be too harsh. They strive to use a more compassionate strategy focusing on rehabilitation. Evelyn, a first responder, supports the use of fear-based images as she believes they convey the seriousness of the issue enough to motivate immediate action. The team now must find a way to balance the urgency of addressing the health crisis with an approach that’s ethical, effective, and compassionate.
