Team 5 - The Big Six Conflict Scenairo

In our conflict scenario, we focused on a situation that occurred during a group member’s time at his previous employment. The Finance department had noticed and increased amount of spending from their shelter housing that could not be tracked back to allocated funding. Insight of this issue, they reached out to the IT department to develop a new system that would allow for better tracking of petty cash within the shelter housing system. The solution presented by the IT department was called the P-Card (Payment Card), essentially this acted as a credit card for shelter houses. This entire project was conducted without informing the Social Development Department that their petty cash payment system would be changing. Once the system was approved and brought into the testing phase, that is when the Social Development Department was informed that this new system was going to be implemented immediately.
