The Delegation Dilemma

Description

After an Emergency Department nurse begins to wrongfully delegate tasks to a fellow nurse colleague, tension arises. In this multidisciplinary setting, the actions of one nurse impact many (secretary, other nurses, patients, researcher, social worker, and management). The delegation of tasks that made the nurses work inequitable ends up being addressed with both a social worker and manager. Parties make an effort to come to an understanding and agreement.
