Team 6 - Conflict in the Toronto Daycare Centre

The COVID-19 pandemic has created mass worry and anxiety across society. Many are concerned about how the disease is impacting their health and safety within the workplace, job loss and security, education for children and youth, and a complete shift to a new virtual landscape. With much uncertainty, individuals, families, and communities are left feeling vulnerable and potentially more prone to experiencing conflicts. This movie takes place in an Early Childhood Centre in Toronto, Ontario at the rise of COVID-19, in 2020. Parents and teachers are concerned about the possible closure of schools, creating conflict in the between parents and daycare centre staff. Parents continue to send their kids to school with flu-like symptoms, despite being told repeatedly this is against the public health order.
