Developing a Program: An Interest Based Approach

Description

Our team of board members is given the responsibility of creating a program, specific to Ryerson University, that assists in experiences of homelessness. Business, social work, early childhood education, nursing, and criminology all have different belief systems and trying to find a common ground within each of these ultimately escalates the conflict, especially between the social worker the head of business operations. Through various concepts learned within class, we are able to navigate and thus resolve the conflict in a way that is mutually satisfying. Our group found it important to resolve the conflict given the fact that this programs effectiveness is reliant on all of us being on the same page.
