Description

The movie ‘Crossed Lines’ illustrates ideas and concepts of conflict resolution and negotiation through a group of six friends at a dinner party. Through the course modules and readings, we will discuss different points of view based on their work in various interdisciplinary programs. These various disciplines include social workers, a child and youth care worker, a public health worker, a police officer, and a nurse. This conflict focuses on an Indigenous child who has been suffering injuries and mistreatment, how each professional would tackle the situation based on their backgrounds, and the importance of effective conflict resolution.
