Description

Presentation Prescribed Uncertainty follows five friends at a dinner party who get into a heated debate after one of them brings up the long-term safety of antidepressants. As the conversation unfolds, each friend reacts through the lens of their own discipline Biomedical Science, Biology, Marketing, Social Work, and Psychology and the disagreement escalates before the group slows down, actually listens to each other, and realizes they all want the same thing underneath their different arguments. The film puts our course’s conflict engagement concepts into practice, from positions and interests to active listening and communication styles, while letting each of us bring our own field’s perspective to a topic we all found genuinely interesting to dig into.
