The COVID Food Fight

Description

A group of 5 professionals were tasked with creating a solution to the food insecurity during the pandemic. At their first meeting, they want to create an accessible food market for the citizens in the town but cannot agree on how to implement it. There is quick escalation as the team struggles to listen and communicate effectively. The interdisciplinary group works through their positions on the market to reach a solution that satisfies their common interests and grants access to nutritious food for citizens while protecting the local businesses from any more loss. The team runs through a few different negotiation styles and finally utilizes an interest-based approach that allows each member to listen and be listened to more clearly. Ultimately, they are able to create a modified system that satisfies each member's needs, and the team resolves the conflict.
