Description

A nursing student, Student, is in their final year of nursing school and is completing a clinical rotation at a hospital. The Student has been granted accommodations due to a learning disability that requires clear instructions, extended time for tasks, and avoidance of high-pressure situations. Despite these accommodations, Student has been asked by Nurse 1 to perform tasks that are outside their current scope of training and accommodation plan. Nurse 2, who is aware of Student's accommodations, witnessed this and expressed concern. A social worker also observed the situation but did not intervene. The student approached their disability advisor and nursing teacher to address the issue, leading to a scheduled meeting for conflict resolution.
