Group 5 - Red: Battle of Priorities: Technology, C
Description
During the final “go or no-go” meeting in a City Health boardroom, the interdisciplinary team who has been preparing to launch a mobile health and wellness hub faces a major conflict. It is two weeks before launch, and Finance has announced that the project is 15% over budget, forcing the group to choose between BTM’s high-tech check-in system and the additional nursing and social work staff request. The nurse and social worker argue that cutting staff will harm patient care and community trust, while BTM warns that removing the tech system creates serious privacy and efficiency risks. OHS is concerned that removing the system may create privacy and compliance risks, while staffing cuts may reduce safe work practices. With limited time, each discipline believes their needs should be prioritized, creating a win-lose deadlock. The team becomes stuck viewing one another's needs as barriers rather than assets, threatening to stall the entire project just weeks before launch.
