Interdisciplinary Conflict - Child Care

Description

A nurse is working in a hospital. One of her patients is a special needs child. The child’s teacher assistant visits her in the hospital and notices some things that make her concerned about how the child is being cared for. The teacher, concerned for the child’s well-being, calls upon an early childhood educator to further advocate for the child and to provide effective strategies that would be easy to implement in a busy schedule. The Charge Nurse is responsible for the patients and the nurses on the unit, as such, she is also called upon to address the situation. The Charge Nurse’s priority is providing adequate care for the patients, therefore, she is able to provide an impartial insight.
