Description
The founder of Rogers Communications Inc.Ted Roger, hired Nadir Mohamed as the company's Chief Operating Officer and preferred that he be the next CEO of Rogers Communications but left it up to the Board of Directors to appoint the next CEO. After Ted's death, his son Edward Samuel Rogers III was the largest shareholder in the company. Neither Edward nor his sister Melinda were fond of the new CEO; Nadir Mohamed. Both questioned Mohamed's policies and were very uncooperative with him. The siblings being senior executives, rarely attended Mohamed's quarterly company meetings. Mohamed was not only facing challenges internally, but also externally from competitors; Bell and Telus. This story focuses on the succession process and the challenges that come with it
