Ryerson Community Center Funding Kerfuffle

Description

The Ryerson Community Centre is having difficulty acquiring funding for all its various programs and services due to recent budget cuts. The community center reaches a wide group of marginalized communities to provide resources and supports. The representatives from several of the departments have formed a board of directors to collaborate and create a proposal to be sent to the management. The group has been given a three week deadline for which to submit their collaborative proposal to management. This proposal will be sent to Citizenship & Immigration Canada. The board is split in between their own agendas, many wish to forward the funds in buying computers. The current computers in the centre are outdated, which has caused them to be much slower when loading and running programs. Whereas many other half wish to create ESL programs. Especially due to the long-term benefits of providing language support, funding would enhance the interactive programming they could offer.
