Conflicts have developed as a result of assessing a new artificial intelligence system whose goal is to support patient care. Jasmine and Tenzin who are both nurses dismiss this new idea as they feel this will undermine patients' safety while interfering with the ability of making decisions. However Krish the computer scientist believes that by creating AI in the healthcare system will benefit patients as there will be fewer medical errors. Looking into this conflict from a legal and ethical perspective Thaveithiny, a criminologist will be mediating the issue while looking into the implications that AI can bring to the healthcare system. During the process of navigating through the issue of understanding AI, the individuals look into the possible repercussions while implementing their own biases. There is a peak of conflict when a critical patient case makes the AI system vulnerable to potential flaws. A substantial part of Thaveithiny's role is to mediate discussions and emphasize ethical considerations in order to allow the team to reach a consensus. To resolve the conflict and ensure the best outcome for patients, the ability of the team to communicate and collaborate becomes crucial.
